Featured Replies

Well, after a week in my vrs I thought and give a quick right up on how it

Glad you are pleased with your car

Great unbiased review - made any enjoyable read.

John

Nice write up  If I could have been bothered to do one after getting mine it would have looked pretty similiar to that.

Apart from saying silver is the best colour ;) :P

Just read your review, brilliant.

I agree with you about the noisy tyres as we picked ours up on the Saturday just gone and like yourself the demo car we had didn't seem to be make that much of a droning noise.

Apart from that though the car is great :)

What make tyres are they?

Adam you missed a bit :)

Wot about the boot ?

robbo51, the tyres are bridgestone turanza er300 or something, I won't be getting them when they need replacing, they might quieten down with a few miles on them as the tread gets less, don't know.

Ifc958, the car is heavy enough already, don't what anything slowing me down, it's too small anyway to fit anything in anyway! I swear the boot in my clio was bigger.

The Uniroyal Rainsport IMO are the best tyres to ever grace my vRS, about

The boot in a Clio is MUCH smaller. My wife drives one !!

Good write up Adam.

So when does the modding begin?! :D

Glad your pleased with your car, i went for silver too! I'd heard somwhere that the Bridgestones are a bit nosier than the Michelin's that sometimes come on the Fabia VRS. Perhaps the demo had Michelins. However,Bridgestones are apparently suberb in the wet.

You're not wrong there! Stick like glue compared to the tyres on my old car.

Adam is that the octavia or the fabia that you have as you spoke about a 6 speed box

Enjoyed reading your review! Picked up my black Fabia vRS last thursday. I really do love it and enjoy driving it. I do't really have any vibrations but agree with the idle noise. However it has a great standard sound system so jus get that radio turned up!!

Have to also agree with the engine noise at idle (had mine a week also). Hopefully after a bit of running in this will quieten down a bit.

Funnily enough my dad does this whenever he drives my Furby. Never puts his foot down though, he just lets the revs gradually build to 3,000 and 4th and shifts straight to six. He's never been a "spirited" driver, i said to him recently "Go on dad, give it some welly" and he replied in a stern way "There's no need!"

hellfire, 203 bhp?? whats that all about?? what mods? sorry to change the subject.

mike it depends how i feel but most of the time its fast enough missing cogs :) usually when i go flying down sliproads in 3rd/4th then think thats fast enough now to cruise :D and it seems silly to change gear 2/3 unnessesary times

classic dad comment :):D

However it has a great standard sound system
I thought that at first, but realised that it really doesn't :thumbdwn: :P
