Help needed - anyone with canton and a tape measure!

Featured Replies

Afternoon guys,

Further to my thread on dog guards and boot liners I need some help.

The car I've got on order is coming with Canton and the folk I'd prefer to buy my boot liner from are producing one this week for the normal floor (they already do the variable floor version) and they need measurements for the canton box to alter the liner to fit - this isn't a one off as they will be listing a liner for the canton option for general sale.

So.... If anyone feels like helping out it would be much appreciated! The other option is drive down to merseyside when my car is delivered but it's a bit of a trek from Fife (although apparently a customer went down from Dundee last week to get their car measured!).

If anyone is interested the company is Hatchbag.co.uk - and I've checked with Colin that it's cool to ask.

I've attached the picture they sent with the measurements they require - and before you ask why they haven't measured when they took the picture I'm guessing they been looking for all the variations on the web and haven't had their hands on a car yet!

Hopefully someone out there fancies helping out. Cheers in advance

Mike

Cheers Keith,

I don't suppose a couple of sets of measurements would do any harm as it would allow to average out any errors? Either user or factory!

Bump!

I know there are folk with Canton systems out there!

It's late now (and I also have the VBF), but what I can tell you for sure is that the angle is not 90o. The top of the subwoofer slopes gently upwards.

Here are my quick measurements for the Estate:

A = ~165mm

B = 70° (+/-2°)

C = ~65mm (changes towards the rear of the car to ~70mm (before the bass reflex opening))

D = ~160mm
