Would you buy a new Octy VRS before the new one come out?

I can't afford the new shape but I was wondering if you would buy the old shape now or wait to see if the values drop.

Looking into it I think that the currnt discounts are quite heavy to help balance out the effect of the new car???

When the new octy came out, the price of the vRS was reduced. If you cant afford a new octyII version then buy a new old one now whilst they are still available.

Well at 13k (I've seen this price for new ones rather than pre-reg) the old shape VRS is an absolute steal. There isn't anything else that gives that sort of performance in a car that size for 13k new. Second hand values might suffer a smidge when the new one comes out but as that's likely to start at at least 16.5k then that's quite a difference. I can't see that the old shape ones will drop any further so if you fancy one then you may as well buy it now.

Must admit if the Octy I vRS can be picked up for 13k or even lower, I'd definitely go for it. Yes it will devalue a little, but then all new cars do anyway.

Spend a little on improving the sound system, and you've got a good allrounder. A few mods added perhaps and you're laughing

If you're doing 100 miles/day, you can always consider one of the PD variants as well, dunno what prices are like, and it won't be a hot-hatch thing, but worth a test drive perhaps?

My Octy vRs estate is a company car, but it was supplied via Horners Bury - no complaints so far (about 2 months and 2250 miles).

I had my new vRS hatch delivered back in January, cost me 14k on the nose with the metallic paint, cruise and parking sensors. It looks like I could have got a slightly better deal at the time but I am happy. Bar a few 'minor' problems I am really pleased with my decision.
