Has any one been able order Adaptive cruise control" since November?

Featured Replies

Good day all

Has anyone out there been able to order their Octavia with "Adaptive Cruise Control" (and Front Assist) since e beginning on November??

I had my original order turned down, and had to go with bogo standard Cruise Control. But after reading other thread on AdaptIve cruise control, I thought I would try to twist the dealers arm, after the delay in build date from week 3 to 18, to get it ordered again. But they tell me that it is not available on any new Octavia's ordered.

Just looking for some proof that they are correct!!!

Many Thanks

Steve

its been removed from the brochure as an option.

They are correct, Adaptive cruise is not available currently on any model as an option.

I ordered ACC first week in January.

I think its us in the UK who currently cannot add it as an option, the rest of euroland no problem.

Thanks

I would be interested to hear from anyone outside the UK??

Lear76 - Have you had your order for ACC confirmed with a build week?

Cheers  - Steve

If this is true, I do really hate the fact that we get de-specced Skodas in this country. I guess the demand is so healthy here that Skoda could remove pretty much everything except the engine, seat and wheels and still have an orders backlog.

I had acc added to my order in November, car build week 51 and delivered last week. With ACC. In Denmark.

I also had no problems adding ACC, ordered 20th Dec, accepted by factory, given provisional BW9. In Slovenia.

I ordered my Octavia Elegance in the end of October -only with the Front Assist extra and still no build week. The local dealer here in Bulgaria explained that there is some problem with the parts for the front assist and Skoda can't really say how long I will have to wait.

they tried to convince me to proceed without it, however I can afford to wait a bit more....really want to have the front assist.

Somewhere i've read that from 2015 for all new models/cars will be mandatory to have the front assist....which makes me think that cars that do not have it equipped will eventually have bigger annual insurance tax( atleast in my country)

worth the wait i think...

Yes correct just removed from UK cars due to demand.

Bet the Golf has it. Of course, wouldnt be anything to do with VAG trying to stop Skoda taking sales away from Volkswagen would it.

Yeah all Golfs from SE, GTD & GTI have it as standard.

Don't bother me, I have a whole Adaptive driving control, its called the Fn wife.  She does a Mrs Bouquet impression you wouldn't believe, she got a reverse Onslow thing going with a mate of mine whos a car salesman though, the usual one when he arrives is "What over priced POS has he parked on the drive this time"  Accountants !!!!!, know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
