Overtaking on open track days should be one signal per allowed pass. From Ian's testimony, Mellow had a responsibility to make sure he was noticed by the cars ahead of him before trying to overtake.

It is good that you fellows could talk about things afterwards and that neither cars nor drivers were hurt. It makes for more awareness through experience the next time.

As for the fellows hoping to tune their cars before going to the track, don't wait! Go now and get intimate with your car. Your skills will sharpen no matter what you're driving. And you'll appreciate the new levels any future modifications take you to.

Sco, the track day rules are pretty lax overhere... to be fair to Mellow he thought I was driving and i would have taken a different line/speed to Ian hence the oppourtunity for confusion... very much 6 of one and half a dozen of the other..

Yeah, I re-read what I'd posted and I was being a bit unfair to Mellow. I'm sure there were plenty of "Well I should haves" being exchanged as you guys worked it out. There's an American expression about how to spell the word "assume" but it wouldn't work on you guys... you call it an **** not an ass and I need to quit ASSuming you guys are just around the corner from me.
