You saw my Ibiza @ curborough last year running its poxy 190bhp, so its quite a different animal now as you can imagine. (not just power, but chassis improvements too)

LOL.. I thought the Golfs tyres were large enough at 235-40-17's on 8x17 MO's but yours are HUGE! in a rubbing kinda way tho you say :(

:ignore:

Ah, the off road king makes an appearance ;)

how strange a 4x4 driver with nothing to say?:D

Paul, its Ian not Denis :D

I'll do a writeup at some point, bit busy at mo...

Right, this needs a "review of the day" I guess.....

Bleary eyed Paul turns up at bleary eyed Ian

Ian, that is one hell of a read! But one for the archives!

It felt as if I was there :D

Mirrors.... and red mist..... one clouds the other view does'nt it :)

Well sounds like a good day out. I like the comment about you being too fast for the tyres, not your were going too fast full stop ;) lol

Very jealous of all you track boys, hope to one day get jabbed, get the bottle, and get to the track.

Damo

No, defo too fast for the tyres, as had taken that bend at faster speeds earlier and been fine - the slicks were showing canvas at the end of the day (that was the last session). I think the very hard breaking \ cornering at the hairpin on passing the GT3 had finished them off.

It definitely sounds like fun - just need that expendable car and a testosterone injection or two and I'll be there ....

What's up Denis?

Ian, all sounds so horribly familiar :D Never had a problem with Caterfields on track, if you really want fun, try overtaking a Formula Ford in the wet when the muppet hasn't got his high intensity light on  Just a wall of spray that you know contains a car, now that is an accident waiting to happen :D

Good read though, enjoyed it. Persuade Paul to come to Donington 2nd November :D

Ian, is this the XTR you are talking about?

Denis, it was this one:

and this is the one that he didn't see, inconspicuous innit? :D

9.jpg

Nope, thats not the one I didn't see...

(same size tho)

(and it was apparently attached to the back of the XTR via a short bungee lead, or so I was told)

Ah - so that's what an XTR is :p Thanks, Denis

... im with Dennis on this one! A bit of  after reading that - I definitely would have needed the change of underwear followed by a quick retirement to the local :boozer:

Ooops, my mistake, I forgot Chris has a westie not a caterham, so me thinks its this one then. Damn, much better camoflaged if you ask me ;)
