MK3 VRS modifications

Featured Replies

I fitted a DTUK tuning box to my 03 TSI VRS the week before last, it made a noticeable difference, then last week I fitted the DTUK pedal box.

Now all I can say is that the car now flies, none of the lag in the time from pressing the pedal to the car responding as with the standard set-up, it's instant!

On DT's web site there's a rolling road print out from a Golf 220hp fitted with one of their boxes, which made 312.3bhp and 336.6 Lbft of torque, and I quite well believe it

Hi guys

You want to know what mods have been done:-

- Rieger side skirts, and rear valance

- Twin exhaust and powder coated dummy exhaust tips

- DTUK Peddle box and TRVOR

- H & R lowered Springs

- LED front indicators and fog lights

- SuperSkoda front splitter, and grill

- black power coated 18inch alloys

These are the major things, plenty of other bits have/are being planned!!!!

Steve

Hi Steve,

what's the TRVOR?

Andy.

Andy

It's :- DTUK® CRD-T+® MultiChannel Fuel and Boost better know as TREVOR!!

Plug in tuning box which gives about 230bhp!!

Steve

DTUK tuning box ordered today, it better be good seen as how I wanted to use the legitimate discount offered to us Briskodians only to be nearly had by some sales person saying we don't usually offer it on the CRD2+ and pushing me towards the CRD-T then offering to honour it anyway!

Looking forward to 230BHP :-)

How much Steveo?

Steve

You will not regret it!!

How much Steveo?

The box itself is online @ £339 a fifty quid saving on the RRP but our discount is £80 off so £309 then 6.95 postage which is a cracking deal, was just a bit taken aback when I was told I probably couldn't use it!

Should be here tomorrow

Steve

You will not regret it!!

I certainly hope so mate, I'm hearing really good things about the DTUK guys, well apart from dodgy statements anyway!

Nobody upgraded the dampeners?

  • 2 years later...

I have the CRDT3+ box and pedal box and im very pleased. Looking at a rolling road before the service is due. Its brisk and the pedal was suprisingly good. no briskodian discount though :(

Ive ordered some bits and pieces from superskoda, (i could walk the boxes home quicker than they post them from CZ!!! nearly 5 weeks now! they must be posting them via china!!!) so ill be adding a maxton rear diffuser which looks aggressive (already in my hands, im getting it carbon coated with water transfer along with the original trim on the vRS (£180 notes all in) to match the carbon bits from superskoda tail protector and mirror covers. Going for black on the grill and will swap to honeycomb after christmas. Ive got the front and side DTM style splitters as they dont look like something you would find in a Maccy D's carpark and with some srpings and spacers wont get torn off on the nearest kerb.

I will be fitting extremes but im happy with the geminis for the moment.
