Coilover setup?

Featured Replies

I've had a set of KW V2's fitted, I've noticed that when going over bumps in the road at speed the car seems to lift up too much, feels like its going to take off.

Does this mean that the rebound setting needs adjusting?

IIRC...rebound is for the wheel dropping and bump for when the wheel goes up.

Upping the rate will increase the resistance to either movement...I think.

So if you feel the car is too stiff when hitting a bump...slacken it off.....should be an adjuster on top of the damper.

As the car is rising to much, I'm assuming its set to have to much rebound? So would I be right in assuming I need to tighten the rebound?

Rising...as I understand...would suggest you have the bump set to hard.

Rebound...again and I understand...is the rate at which the wheel drops into a hole....

.....could be wrong?

Either way you only have bump setting of KW2 and this can be changed using the rotary **** supplied on the adjuster at top of damper.

For front it's easy enough but you'll have to drop the rear suspension to do the rears.

KW3 have rebound as well and this is adjsuted using an allen key at bottom of damper.

I thought the KW2 were rebound and height adjustment?

So in that case, does it mean the rebound needs changing so it doesn't move as much?

think I should have bought the KW1's at least they would have been setup by some boffin in germany!

Yes....

....I think on special order ask for the kit to be set-up for whatever conditions you want...fast road etc. Well you can for v3.

the v3's are special order items and aren't kept in stock so have to be ordered with your spec.

Anyone else on briskoda today?
