Rear brake return springs

Featured Replies

Ok, seeing as every time I search for this I find nothing ive decided to ask the question.

I know from previous experience on my Furby VRS that the rear calipers suffered from weak internal return springs so you could fit ones from a VW sharan or something similar.. this sorted my problem last time and now it appears to have reared its head on my Octy VRS MK2.

I checked the calipers and they seem to have return springs already fitted but one seems to be a little slacker than the other and this is on the side thats dragging a little.

My question is, I want to try replacing these springs to see if it stops the dragging but need to know the part number which i cannot find anywhere.. If i have to then i will look at a replacement caliper but assuming the springs arent too expensive I would like to try this first..

Anyone know what part number im looking at?

Left is 1K0 615 295, Right is 1K0 615 296. Less than £2 retail each from a dealer.
