T reg Felicia estate rear speakers

Featured Replies

Hi,

My GF has a T reg Felicia estate - I'm trying to replace the rear speakers.

The Haynes manual says "... undo 3 screws at the top, 3 screws at the bottom, remove panel and speaker is accessible from the bottom ...".  There are no visible screws at the bottom, yet something is retaining the panel. Were they replaced by hidden clips??  Can I just 'pop it off'??  Or is there a 'secret' that's not obvious to me??

Take care . . .

These are from a 95 estate but they're the same as my 96 except they had an extra screw near the window corner. You can see there are a load of those spring clips on the upper panel and the lower one has three on the lower section. I bet that's what's holding yours in place.

Many thanks for getting back so quickly :hi:

I'm sure you're right, that's exactly what it 'feels' like.  I hope you didn't whip those off 'specially for me ;)

What size speakers are those 6x4?

Our dog used to chew the sides so I had a spare set that I've kept in the shed. If you need to know what the backs of the headlights, rear lights or the end of a starter motor for a 1.3 looks like those are in there too. Anything else you'll have to wait until it falls off the car

ate our Savannah - seat belts/seats/...

In the end, it was cheaper to scrap it and buy a new car :giggle:

If a dog ate my car I'd pull it's teeth out, but alas a big old dog like that would probably kill me first.

loves his car and wouldn't dream of eating it

I miss my collie. He used to take me everywhere, I remember him disappearing one night when we out walking and he came back half hour later with a massive cheeseburger and a smile on his face, and he locked me out of my fabia once at a petrol station when he got excited and pressed the central locking button then the little sod ate my twix too.

Can't imagine not having a dog, I've had them for 40+ years.  If you're after another, I can prob'ly help - 2yr old Eddie, for instance

I'm not allowed pets in the place I'm renting at the moment otherwise I'd gladly take a second Hand dog.
