Soft99 fusso coat?

Featured Replies

I took the plunge after seeing ste's pot of fusso and ordered some that night thought it might have been here today but it will probably be tomorrow now.

I did have a good look at nippon and I'm really tempted to order their authentic wax and maybe the glaco products.

I think I still have 4 pots of dodo juice I've never tested and some naviwax. Might do a test panel with them all on.

It's a shame about the group buy ste, thanks for trying. But at that price who could complain.

Yeah - i tried damned hard as well Carl. Not trying to spend your money like  :notme:

but i suggested a perhaps a Glaco kit plus a Fusso option for a discount fixed price;

perhaps 10-off to start..... assuming Mod team here would have been ok with a GB?

Nope - basically - i think he is selling it as fast as he can import it at the moment!

STOP IT!! :x

I DONT NEED ANYMORE WAX!!

Incedently Mark...I applied the Brazilian Wax you sold me to Ade's Octavia yesterday...

Absolutely loved it..Very similar on and off to Vics Concours ,but left a lovely slick finish and great 'flake pop' (if thats the right term..LOL)!!

The 'Fusso' is going to have to be damned good to beat that!!

You forgot to mention Chris you have enough in that tin to last two lifetimes :D .  What struck me was how little you use per application.

I can already confirm that it is at least a 3-6 months durability wax based on two coats :)

Only what you would expect from the land of Carnauba.

Yeah smell is not good.

Ok...Test

Decided to try it out this evening

Prepped the front offside wing by a wash with APC...Dry...Wipe with CarPro Eraser and IPA

Then polished with a medium pad with Sonax Perfect Finish PROFILINE Polish

Wipe down with Dodo Juice Lime Prime light

Then two coats of Fusso...an hour apart

Will now see how it performs against the rest of the car

Interested to see what you think.... so whats it testing against on the "rest of the car"?

FYI - don't shoot the messenger; but i did discuss layering/application recommendations.

NipponShine rep recommended 3 hours between coats/layers ideally.

An hour may be adequate for indicative results.

I also had a go with it. Only managed half the car, was absolutely tired out.

Here's a pic of the side I did and bonnet. I'll try finish it tomorrow.

It's not a bad wax to apply. Quite easy to buff off too.

I like that it's easy to see where you have been.

I've used pretty much nothing from the tin. I think it literally will do hundreds of cars.

Great value for money wax. Yet to see durability and beading, but I have no doubt it will be good.

I think it's very similar to collinite 476 but that's my opinion. .

Nice work Carl

I quite like it, but it doesnt feel quite as slick as my Brazilian or Zaino Titanium

I would say that it feels a bit like a mix between Collinite 915 and Swisvax BOS in its feel and application

Durability is not an issue for me, but I do like a bit of beading

Having said that, it will last a long time and is another arrow in my bow for mine and others' cars

Couldn't comment on those Chris as I've not tried them but I'm sure your customers will like it. After all what's not to like? I'd say the smell but who really goes out sniffing their car :D

Tight small beading from the fusso coat.

Well........Decided, as it was dry...ish

To do a full car Detox and apply a coat of Soft99 Fusso Coat Dark

Prepped the whole car, except the front offside wing (I did this last night )......by a wash with APC...Dry...Wipe with CarPro Eraser and IPA

Then polished with a medium pad with Sonax Perfect Finish PROFILINE Polish via my Rotary Polisher

My car has never ben polished properly from new....Took 5 hours!!

Wipe down with Dodo Juice Lime Prime light

Then one coat of Fusso

Its given the car a nice reflective shine, although the polishing prior to application, helped a lot

I'm now completely out of CarPro Eraser and IPA!!

EDIT:

Pics added...Not very good

I finally got my hands on my sisters faded subaru justy.

Washed car using obsession wax shampoo 2bm

Clayed using farecla mitt.

dryed using woolie mammoth.

applied AF triple using DA

Then applied CG BLACK LIGHT. (this really brought out the gloss imo)

Then I applied AF power seal via DA.

Then finally a coat of Fusso.

It's a small car but I'm shattered.

You really are getting good at this mate

Thanks Chris, it's very satisfying :)

Awesome work Carl......

Red cars are always so rewarding when the dull top surface is replaced with a great gloss shine!

So how did you find the new items i recommended...  Farecla mitt, DA pads, Fusso and BOA MF for example?

Interested in your feedback on those for sure.

Good point. I love the pads they are joy to work with, I'll have some more when you get some in.

The clay mitt cut down claying time by more than half I would say. And I can't believe how well it works.

And the micro fibre clothes are good but I've still got a thing for the purple monster cloths.

You are right about red being a rewarding colour to detail, pleased with the outcome and the products used, those pads are a steal ste, I thought they gave good pressure feedback through the DA too.

Fusso is my new go to wax!

What pads are we talking about here? I'm intrigued!

I appreciate the feedback Carl - it's ok using these for my own personal detailing;

but when someone else tries them out, you expect some negative feedback perhaps.

But so far - the half dozen people i have shared them with seem to love them, plus the pads wash well and seem durable.

I think i may re-order some soon..... what did you settle on....green or black...or both?

The clay mitt for sure - is a breeze; hard to look past these especially on the Halford's 3 for 2 price.

The CarPro BOA's are my favourite - the orange especially; the new black version doesn't add much - IMO.

The Purple Monster drying towels are my favourite - absolutely amazing and a good £5 less than W.Mammoth.

Anyway - i hope your sister is very happy with the detail on the Subaru. Stunning results!

Pics please Chris. ..
