  • Well chuffed with it, first panel I applied too thick, then possibly left it a bit long too, once I got the hang of it very pleasing.

  • I hate you 2. Please let mine come today!

I know it's out of stock and if I want to buy some I have to trust a Russian ebay dealer.

What more do you want to know bud? :)

edit: you've been reading the same reviews as me.

You will come to the conclusion you NEED to own this.  Also take a look at the slightly more expensive ArtDeKotsos Obsidian Wax too.  Both getting a lot of hype.

Just thought someone on here may have used it, it's not badly priced and the reviews seem quite good.

And I just wanted to bring it to the attention of others on here who don't visit DW.

I had a feeling you might have read the review sparkly.

Yeah I tried looking online for retailers can't seem to find any.

Nippon Shine on ebay is the main importer/reseller active on DW but he has no stock and seems to be a small trader bringing in limited amounts.

Looks interesting stuff, my fear would be that it won't play nicely with other products, a lot of people mention a heavy solvent smell, suggesting it wouldn't suit layering.

Posted a thread a few days ago asking for experience of the other products.  Nippon Shine have some of these in.

Authentic Premium seems more of a classic Carnauba Wax

Metallica is a Cleaner Wax

will look up the thread and link.

I also have more wax than I can feasibly get through at the moment, so put this one to the back of the purchase queue.

Yeah agreed, I won't be buying any at the moment.

But I still like to look into new products available, especially when there's a bit of hype!

I will look out for the link.

Cheers mate.

Your wallet will be really upset when I tell you that ArtDeShine Europe are only at Saddleworth!!

Have a read on some of their coatings and products :D

Thanks sparkly!

By the way I thought the pics of the paint swirls on the DW thread for this product were quite impressive.

Used it.

It's a really nice wax, goes on very very light, very easy to buff, really nice results.

Very well presented box/tin.

Worth its price.

Thanks Matthew good to know, where did you acquire yours from?

I didn't use a full tin.

Seems the DW member is probably best bet for a new tin or keep an eye out for sales.

  • 4 months later...

Managed to get some of this stuff ordered - it really seems to good to be true!!!!  Finally it arrived today

First impressions.... nice packaging, love the idea of the secondary lid which stores the foam applicator.

As many of the DW reviews have stated - the smell is not good.

I mean, I'm a big fan of FK1000P but it smells strong and very chemical/solvent like.

...this stuff knocks Finishkare into orbit in terms of chemical odour! It sure is strong smelling.

Still..... i will give it a go and see how it performs... watch this space...

Looks interesting

You certainly seem to be buying a lot of wax products recently

There's help if you need it @ Waxaholics Anonymous ;)  :giggle:

No help required.... all under control and very much looking forward to reviewing the products and samples recently acquired.

Happy to share the results and findings for the general good and discussion.

....just getting started! This is fun!     :sun:

Good luck

Whenever you come over for pads etc; you can borrow it if you like.... not a problem Carl.

Going by the DW write-up.... one tin is good for 150+ cars... based on the original review.  :D

I prefer the word 'prudent' Steve. I'm a Yorkshireman, not a Scot ;)

Thanks for both offers fellas.

I look forward to seeing the results :)

Did you get it within the UK?

".....told me the enough"?

Yep I've got this.

It's excellent, Can't fault it really, it's easy on, easy off. Water behaviour is comparable with BSD. You won't be disappointed. PTFE in there too.

Order it from Nippon Shine, they delivered mine in 2 days.

Indeed.... All joking aside and back on topic... wow!

This stuff is superb. Got bored with the Portugal game tonight and got outside to detail the R36.

I'll post pics tomorrow, but soooo impressed.

Very reminiscent of FK1000P in many ways.

Really slick finish and looking forward to the beading!

Awesome value for money :)
