No need for high temp paint, your cals are never going to get that hot (not on a monte anyway) ...Hammerite smooth will be grand ive used it on a lot of cars which are a lot more powerful than the monte and i have never had it melt .!

Nice. Do those wheels have a silver lip on the edge? My black edition wheels are all just one colour. Were there options on the wheels or something?

They're gigaro wheels as mainly used on the vRS, however a few of the later montes have been coming with them. Some can be play black, some can have the white rim etc..

I see, cheers. Funny, I wonder what it depends on because my monte is only a few months old but doesn't have them. Maybe optional?

Thanks & yeah silver lip also we didn't spec them my brothers Vrs has them on I thought they came on because it's the black edition didn't question them tho [emoji6]

Liking the tdi badge on grill where did you get it and how does it fit on , thanks in advance

Fleabay for about £7, next day delivery free too. It screws on using nuts against a flat plate behind the grill.
