Two car remotes - two different ways of opening the car?

Featured Replies

So I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a way to reset or program remote keys as it is annoying my wife!

My key opens all doors with one press of the button.  :)

Her key opens the drivers door only with one press, and takes another press to open the other doors for my kids - which She finds highly irritating!  :(

So is there some way of programming the car remotes? some weird trick that i need to know?

Thanks!

Do you have maxi dot? If so put wife's key in ignition and program through maxi dot, otherwise you will need vcds.

Yeah I have the maxi-dot - where is the menu to program the keys?

What ever settings you set with a key inserted apply to that key only.

Things like unlocking style, anti hijack, alarm beep and iirc come home lights.

via maxidot, using your wife's keys......

Thankyou, exactly what i was after

Why not swap keys

Why not swap keys

Because one will still be wrong.....

MY wife being conservative (small C) refuses to use her own key so has to use my settings.

Whats worse is that the L&K has adjusting memory seats and wing mirrors! She complains about both of the following

1 She doesnt want to remember to use her own key

and

2. She finds it irritating that the seat and mirrors move back for me after she opens the door.

Now what does Catch 22 mean? OR is this called the irrationality of women!

Pre FL as well
