Rapid and Spaceback differing Specs

Featured Replies

As per my other post between seeing a rapid spaceback and a sport in the showroom coupled with the test drive, providing trade in figures/paying of finance blah blah blah, i am quite interested in the rapid or Spaceback.

But from what i have read the specs between the two don't resemble each other at all.

For example the Rapid Spaceback SE gets 3 spoke wheel with audio/bluetooth controls as well as a arm rest, but the Rapid doesn't :/ seems a bit strange to have these differences.

Also to get the rapid Spaceback looking any good at min you need to add the £1100 style pack the camelot (or ideally ray alloys) so your looking nearly £18k based on a 1.2TSI

So i look at the sport good base price just could do with tweaking the spec a tad, but apparently according to website you cant add options :/ its all a little strange to me, your thoughts.

The Sports are already made, only 200 in the country. I'd keep your eyes open for one of the dealer demo Spacebacks that have been fitted with the Ray wheels. Should be able to get yourself a good deal on one of them I reckon.

Yh the local dealer has one sitting in the showroom no MFSW which is shame considering how loverly its been to have one on this demo.

They'd need to chuck in and fit an arm rest too lol

I cant help think the Sports are testing the water for a Monte Carlo like rapid in the future???

As its seems the style packs and even the Tech version have been so popular it may brach in to other models/ future fabia

I am virtually certain there will be an official Sport/Monte Carlo version at some point.

Agreed but multiple sources have said they are dropping the Fabia VRS and no llans for a rapid vrs which is shame as m sure they would sell, the mk2 Fabia only struggled due to no manual or diesel offerings.

Im sure if they had they offered a choice of Manual or dSG and petrol or diesel it would of sold more,

I wish they made a vRS rapid they would sell I've have one or a Monte Carlo but it need to have a 2.0 tsi or 2.0 tdi

The more i look the options list to get the rapid looking any good im looking at a car with a RRP of £17-18K :/ which i think is beyond my budget,

This pushes my back towards just getting a newer monte

Ahhh ok would be nice to see potential specs as the picture that i first saw that started me looking more at the space back was a red one with black splitter and wheels (a la Monte Carlo look) lol

Yum very nice, and yes very 'Monteish'. Will be interesting to see the price tag attached to a Monte edition......

Yh tbh the spec i was going for would left it nearly looking like this anyway
