Is it possible to disable Start/Stop on 2014 Octavia 1.4?

I just bought a 2014 Octavia 1.4 and it's wonderful.

 

My Volvo S40 was written-off courtesy of an inattentive person.

 

I have a short commute and the Stop / Start is driving me crazy!

 

Can I disable it permanently?

I would need to do more research, but I am sure somewhere in the depths of the coding on VCDS, there is a part of the stop-start where it has a temperature parameter below which the stop start will be disabled.  I believe as default this setting is minus 50 C.  Obviously to disable it just need changing to PLUS 50 C and in theory it should never work.  I have not tested this or verified if this procedure actually works.

I test drove a Fiat Punto with stop start on it and i hated it after three times.
