I was just driving my car and went to put my foot down as I did my car wouldn't rev then just cut out and now it won't start again I've had a look at everything I can see and everything looks fine. Can belt is fine plenty of oil and plenty of water can anyone help?

First thing to do is plug it in to a computer and see what/if there are any fault codes.

I've just done that and nothing came up as a fault it sounded like it's being starved so I put diesel into the intake and it tried to go so I'm thinking of crank shaft sensor?

should get a couple of lights with cam or crank sensor -> engine management light and flashing glow plug.

The connectors for both are behind the oil filter as a point to check as well.

With mine (crank) it just cut out but had no issues with reving before hand except what felt like a missfire.

The internals on your turbo could have collapsed, blocking the air intake to the engine.

your turbo has shat itself

My black car had exactly the same symptoms.

Accelerated up a hill, then it just cut out.

Refused to accelerate and then wouldn't start once it had coasted to a stop.

The impellor will have broken up and blocked in the intake, meaning air's not able to get through the turbo and into the engine.

Easy way to test will be to take an intake boost pipe off (thus cutting the turbo out of the equation) it should start or at least try to.

Further issue may be if the shaft in the turbo is jammed; meaning not only is air not able to get in to the engine though the turbo but your exhaust turbine in turbo will be jammed so air may not be able to get out either.

Yup my 07 corsa did this a few years back. It cut out and died in the 3rd lane of the m69! Wouldn't start after that either. The blades inside the turbo had broken to bits. Car ecu stops it starting to prevent further damage.

I thought turbo at first but there was no smoke when it cut out and usually when a turbo goes you get a lot of thick black smoke I'm going to try the crank shaft sensor tomorrow if not then I'll look at turbo I had the miss fire aswell.
