Sounds wicked bro, can you get a video from the outside at a stand still.

Can't wait to get a HCL on mine. :)

mate that sounds sick loving the the hardcut limiter

Sounds well :)

Had a hard cut limiter in one of my maps to try,but gone back to the soft cut limiter as I felt the hard cut made the engine feel like its going to drop on the road!!!!

What's a "hard cut limiter"?

Sounds good btw!

Phil

As far as I'm aware it's when the actuator on the turbo opens and closes cutting the fuel harshly and has been known to cause premature turbo failure because of over use.

I'll still be having it on my map though. Haha

I've got hard cut in my map from Dirty Torque too, sounds great ;)

Sounds realy good but dose it atualy do bad on the turbo ?

Yes because it's working ALOT harder than it needs to be.

Yeah it basically doesn't cut the fuelling to allow you to make progress. In the lower gears its needed otherwise the car will just bog / slow down as it reaches the limiter rather quickly lol.

Its not something I would do everyday but you need to impress all the babes in maccies car park some how :D

you can have a soft limiter which does the same job, set where you want it, but its better for your turbo life ;)

What's the difference in sound

What's the difference in sound

The difference in sound is why people go for the hard cut.

Hard cut sounds good, soft cut sounds ****. Lol

I've got a soft cut limiter on mine it holds at about 2200rpm and it just sounds like your holding the revs, it holds boost at about 0.8 bar steady too so should be better for launching. The reason I've got soft cut is because faboka (who's map it is) made a good point about having the actuator keep opening and shutting it's going to end up damaging the turbo or put excessive wear on it which I agree so although it doesn't sound as good it's probably the better option in terms of looking after the turbo. Never drove it into the limiter that's just using launch control

They can sound 'better' but they will never sound 'good'

Big blower VNT's always sound WIN :D

Mine isn't a Fabia though ;) mines a V6 TDi
