So what you been doing to your VRS lately?

Featured Replies

Over the last two weekends I've been fixing a couple of problem's and a few little mods to keep the old girl in tip top condition.

I've replace the exhaust manifold and replaced every nut, bolt and gasket with genuine item's. Not cheap but at least I know it's right now!

I've put new prosport anti roll bar bushes on the front.

Fit new anti roll bar drop links.

Deleted the secondary air pump and put in resisitor.

N249 by pass.

Not too bad really and enjoy working on the car as it's give a sense of satisfaction doing right yourself. I love how the car drive with the Shark map, it drives better than our lass's TT did but I'll be honest not as good at the old Audi S2. It's a car you can use everyday and enjoy it.

So what have you guys been upto?

Nowt, over due baby, service and mot time required it to go to my friendly mechanic to get sorted. Feels really embarrassing that I couldn't service it myself or even check it out properly, passed first time with four advisories, all 4 tyres being low.

This year so far:

LED puddle lights

vRS sticker on rev counter

Custom tune, (TT225 injectors, 3" MAF, CR Stage 2 hybrid turbo)
Strengthened G60 clutch (It couldn't handle the torque!)
Milotec bumper thingies.

I need to stop.

After I upgrade the oil cooler :D

Took mine for a spin this morning, first time in a fortnight..!

Still on the 16" steels, winter tyres and seat covers back and front for over the winter

Parked up again now until next Sunday when I'll do it all over again...

Loads to do including swapping the S3 seats for some cloth recaros, door card swap for some black/charcoal ones, vMaxx coil overs, Blueflame exhaust, WRC rear spoiler and get the BBS wheels back on...

new pads and discs all round

new front arms

2 new tyres

list of things to do

replace battery fuse terminal

replace wire to alternator

replace split breather pipe

and after a loud bang yesterday replace the front spring :@

Edited by IulianE

Seems that only vrs owners play with their cars lol

Bowsers your engine bay is awesome, I used your SAI delete how to guide, Very helpful, thank you. I bet that cam cover and inlet manifold takes some keeping clean. I will be fitting my draft42 gear bushes next weekend. There seems to be always something to do..... I'm going to give mine a good clean and the engine bay a spruce up next weekend if I get time.

Actually the cam cover and linlet mani don't take much upkeep at all. It stays polished very well and  I only touch them up every few months.
