silly question - how to change air filter on CR VRS?

Featured Replies

ok, i removed 5 hex bolts but could not get the box to open

What have i missed?

Also dropped one bolt down the engine bay! What an idiot - should not have taken it out :swear:

Any idea what size they are for replacement?

Also just changed pollen filter which was easy enough, but now cannot get the spongy cover to go back in the right place to line up the thumb screws!!

thanks

You must have missed a Torx screw or two once removed the lid just separates I did mine from the right slid out old and inserted new. 5 mins done.

Removed my Pollen Filter this morning and hoovered it clean.  Should have seen all the Cr@p that came out of it and all the debris that ended up in the foot well

I'm struggling a bit to refit the flap that hangs down, mine fell off and now it's a right PITA to refit lining up the thumb screws!

I took the flap off completely . Best way to put it back is start from the Glove box end and took it in under the glove box making sure the heater pipes are aligned through the flap. then tuck it all up and the screw holes should be in place, finally tuck it in at the back  ( make sure you haven't got it upside down )

Could be upside down.

If you're keen to do a bit of DIY servicing you wont go far wrong getting yourself a Haynes manual.
