Featured Replies

Hi all,

so this will be mine build topic and some old photos how it just to be :)

You will have to forgive me on my errors, I am not from Englush speaking area :)

So, little more about the car. It is 2002 Fabia 1.4 Elegance with a lot of bits and pieces from vRS, and Golf/Polo GTI. It is still undergoing build so bear with me :D

Very nice

However it is a bit 'poser' to put vRS badges on

By all means put the kit on but id refrain from badging it a vRS

New major update is that I pruchased G.A.S Airride, second hand but in a very good condition. I'll put pics tomorrow, need to sort parts little bit :)

I don't get it, there is absolutely no comments about new look of car and airride just because I am from Herzegowina, but there is 10 comments about new badge on English Fabias ? Do you even know how hard it is to tune up, or better to say, style up a Fabia in B&H ? Nothing ?!?! :S

I would really like to get more feedback from you guys, just to know I am doing right things...

All very nice except the rear lights, standard would look better.

also dont act so desperate to get comments about your car.

I think off with the vRS badges too. A lot of people, even the lesser knowledgeable, know the Mk1 vRS only came in diesel so when they don't hear a diesel grunt with a bellow of smoke out the back... They'll know.

Perhaps a 1.9TDI ATD would pull it off ;)

  • Author

@ joe: I am not desperate, it is just pointless to post pics on forum if you don't get the feedback. Like taking a blind friend to art gallery :/

@iSamage: It is not finished, 1.9 TDI will be under the bonnet, I don't want to swap engines now because the summer VAG meetings are starting from April 12th, so I don't have the time. I already bought rear facelift right stoplight, the left was broken.

Hi there, I'm intrigued why you didn't use a vrs in the first place? Would it not have been more cost effective?

Yes it would, but where is the fun when you buy it finished already :D ...and other thing is they are really really rare in my country, currently there is only 2 mk1 vRS and 1 mk2 vRS...and now I can't import them because they are older than 7 years, so I can't get registration license, I can use them only for parts.

That's more what intrigued me in all honesty, whether or not you could have easily got one even if you had have wanted one. Car culture varies massively in different countries.

Just to put things in perspective for you Ash, there are more Ferraris here than vRS ( thats Fabia Mk1-Mk2 and Octavia Mk1-Mk2-Mk3 combined ) :)

Volkswagen, Audi and BMW here rules, especially VW 2,3,4 and BMW 5 series :)

Will look better with normal lights. Why spend money on new exhaust if you're changing the engine? Otherwise looks tidy!

Looks nice :)

Finally, got her slammed, can't go lower for couple of reasons: 1. Tyre is soo close to the metal, 2. Front suspension is low to the ground and our roads are c*ap, full of potholes and bumpstops. But I think it is low enough, will do untill i fit airride :)

Tomorrow this tailights will be off the car, and a facelift new ones will be on.

So, what do you think ?

Looks really nice. Good work.

Will look even better with those new lights!

I'm intrigued, what country only has three Fabia vRS's?

Bosnia and Herzegovina by the looks joe

Are the wheels 15s? The rear tyres look huge! Good progress though will look 100% better with the new lights.

  • Author

@vrs Joe: Bosnia And Herzegowina. Here only GTI and S-line, AMG etc are bought. vRS in B&H is expensive, and still people think that Skoda is poor mans car.

@joe : wheels are 16", the rear ones are huge. they are 205 50 r16, a big fat tyre, but I am not concerned, because the new ones are comming. RH ZW2 8x17" with 195 40 r17 tyres :)

And now back to the car, the tailights are gone, yeeeey :D

It's like a new car. New wheels will look very nice when on.

Looks much better - you could lower it more if you had 205/40/16 tyres!

good work t1salai. Keep at it
