More importantly it's real fun to drive, oh, and a nice 6 speed manual.

 

That's what I'd do, haggle the Ford dealer down and pocket the other £7,000 from your budget.

 

If you want DSG, buy something less involving.  Audi maybe?

You are quite smitten with the fiesta at the moment I'd love to have a go in one though, but feel cheeky going to a dealer to test a car when I have no intention of getting one for quite a few years

I know the reviews have been very positive.  But it really is a good car on a talented chassis.

Fantastic thanks. I sat in one at goodwood and I love the seats, so comfortable. The steering wheel felt a little girly, but I'm used to the chunky R32 wheel.
