I'm going to go out on a limb and say my sensor is dying as the needle doesnt reach 12o'clock anymore however which one do i need?

 

a member on here mentioned 209440210 from euro car parts but it says it doesnt fit, but the alternative they give looks very different.

It's not a sensor, it's a thermostat, if you need the sensor as well you need to check whether yours is a two-wire or four-wire sensor by pulling off the plug and taking a look, ECP will tell you it's a four-wire sensor but it probably isn't if you have an early car with the AUB engine.
