Have I gone back to the 70's?

Featured Replies

So I have the new vRS in White and it's brilliant but the Mrs pointed out I may have gone backwards.

What she means by this is I paid extra for black wing mirrors and a black gril.  Back in the day this was poverty spec!  All the decent cars were colour-coded.

Now I'm even considering a vinyl roof as well!!!

louvered rear window cover next then

Don't forget the furry dice!

And the 'Wayne Sharon' green sunstrip!

But they're painted, not just plain plastic

I know, I think it's the principle. The mirrors are metallic.

queue the 70's music track next time you take her out :)

So's the grille.

Don't forget those 70's eight track cartridge players, that would be retro !

You could go Starsky and Hutch, nice Red stripe from bumper to bumper :0)

It's alright, even brown dashboards are making a comeback!!!........

um... I see a grey dashboard with a tiny bit of brown on the steering wheel and around the gear knob.

Where's the brown at?

This PR pic any clearer?

Needs to be brown outside too.

It's the return of 80s! Two tone rather than all body colour, "melted in the sun" jellymoulds of the 90s!

Yes you've gone back.  I feel like the odd one out having not ordered the black , but it's individual choices that makes things great.

I could swear my 136 had brown interior 10 years ago. I don't have an inside pic but the black mirrors definitely make it look "rad" lol

My 1978 Austin Princess had a brown velour interior..... really didn't seem too bad at the time although I much prefer the leather and alacantara in my Octy!

If you ever had a Maxi you got brown vinyl. Not pleasant in the summer.

Sent from my phone so please excuse brevity and spelling
