I don't know if I'm the only one; but when I leave my car and I'm walking away from it, I always look round and give it a quick glance before heading in the house/walking off. Today I looked round and

  • It's been a while since I've updated this! Well not much has changed with the my Furby apart from replacing the wheel bolt covers to blue ones... Nobody needs to see that. On Friday I met up with Spa

  • Sorry Ally, I know this is your thread, but Martyn I think you will be over the moon when you switch out the springs and dampers, genuinely startling the difference this makes to the car.   I reall

I am glad you both said RARB! it's what I have my eye on next. The only problem I have is it put my insurance premium up by a lot when I tried to add it when I renewed....

Now that i'm coming up to half way through my policy, I may ring them up and see what they can do.

They might have thought you meant a "roll bar", which usually means a hefty hike. Try calling it an "anti swaybar" perhaps.

I think you might be right! So hopefully I will be able to get one fitted and improve the Furby's turn in and stop if from feeling this this...

A massive thanks to you Ally this thread is superb! Or Fabia.. Haha.. Anyway less of the cheap jokes. I'm loving the little touches that you've done to your car it's what makes the difference I'd say, I take it you haven't got your warranty on yours? With mine being literally bran spanking I don't want to void the warranty but them wheel spacers do look good, I was thinking about some 18s for the car but doesn't that affect driving and all that malarkey? I have seen some wonderful looking 17s though I must add.. Love this thread though, kept me up late reading!! Cheers again :)

Haha cheap jokes welcome in this thread! Many thanks for taking the time to read it and the kind words. :-) My car is no longer under any warranty, so I don't need to worry about voiding it. Although you car is brand new, you can still do some things to it that won't affect the warranty. The Skoda approved lowering springs will make a real difference to how the cat sits. If you fancy upgrading your wheels to 18's you won't need to fit spacers as the larger offset should fill the arches. Check out MrBurdens123 Fabia VRS estate build thread. He has just fitted some 18" OZ racing alloys. They look pretty dam sweet!

The main thing is just enjoy the car and make it your own, that's what I feel I've done, I don't have the budget to make massive changes to my car as saving for a house takes priority. But I feel the lots of little changes have made a big difference. There are loads more in the pipeline too......

Cheers

Al

Im glad cheap jokes are welcome as theyre about all i can afford after spending on the new car!! ive actually just put some H&R's on and skoda said it wont affect the warranty, even better i picked them up for about 120 notes and got them fitted for 140 notes by a skoda dealer!! i nearly fell over i thought that was a great price, ill have a look at that thread cheers and ill definitely be watching this carefully!! ive just ordered some of the flappy paddle extenders from this thread like you say i think the little changes make the biggest effect. I agree with you on the budget too, i wish i was saving for a house but i keep flying round the globe so, like you say other things take priority but its really a good read this is!! my mrs asked me what i was doing till 2 in the morning when i texted her and when i said reading threads on briskoda im sure she didnt believe me!!
