Hi, currently I have the standard layout in my Octavia 2008 mk2 estate. (stream hu, and standard speakers).

During the next few months I will replace all standard speakers with some nice ones from pioneer, including a subwoofer.

 

For the head unit, just to be sure, currently it is a stream mp3.

I would like to replace it with the Pioneer FH-X700BT

If I take then this set as well, then I would not face any compatibility surprises during installation of the new Pioneer HU ?

that kit has everything you need. You MIGHT need a new facia for the center console buy I can't say for sure. 

 

You need that lead as it gives you a switched live, otherwise you wont have one (canbus causes this as it works on data)
