Yeh,

Know what you mean

But it helps stop the paint chips and sill getting to muddy. Roads around here are mostly rural (full of poo and mud) :rain:

Would love to see some pics!

My white rapids, top of the rear bumper seems to collect dirt, is the below bumper panel angled for water to run off rather than collect on the top of the bumper and hopefully the dirt run off with the water.

Black rear bumper protective panel

Be great to get an update when it arrives and also if its easy to fit

Thanks.

Mine is the same, always filthy and the rest of the car mint. Gave it a good coat of collinite 476s and its not as bad.

Is 476 a hard wax?  am used to using 845 here

Will post photos and report on the rear bumper protector.

Did notice that it is a dust / grit collector an deems to always be dirty as you said!

Yes Mark, its a hard wax but it is absolutely brilliant. Brst wax I have ever used.

I used a mid cay bar first, then a couple of coats of poorboys ex-p, then a couple of coats of collinite 476.

Thanks my 845 is getting towards he bottom of the bottle (probably a years worth left)   Is the 476 hrd to apply/remove comapred to 845?  Does it have a better bling on silver?

Mark its a doddle. Dead easy on and off. Bit harder in the sun so I try keep it in the shade

Hi

Seriously thinking of ordering the bumper protector,

be great if you can advise how its fitted

and if its top is angled slightly for water to run off and hence reduce the dirt on the bumper as previously stated the water and therefore dirt seems to stop on top of bumper and not run off.

Hi Folks,

The sill protectors and bumper protector were a dawdle to fit, literately peel off the tape back and place on the areas. Tricky bit is deciding best place to fit.

Suggest find best place with trim tape backing still on and mark with felt pen and then fit as its a "one shot" and no second chance.

I will upload photos of items fitted.

Mud flaps were trickier!!

Rear relatively easy.

Front requires to drill 7mm diameter hole to fit push in plastic retainer. I used right angled drill head and did not have to remove wheels (which makes access easy)

  • 3 months later...

Kind of wish I had paid a bit of extra for the mats but the Michelin ones I got seem OK. Need will protectors thought my 3yo appears to love using the will as a step!

Just got e mail from superskoda

Dear Customers,

please note, that today is the last day with discount 20% on ANYTHING from our website.

Enjoy.

Tried to buy but there was an initial problem with my address, only got back on there and the discount seems to be gone. Oh well, I'll just need to keep a look out.
