Multiple warning light problems

Featured Replies

1 month after buying a 1.6 tdi scout I had the situation where the airbag, tyre pressure, glow pug, and esp all lit up and stayed on. Dealer had it I and said he had fixed it.

Then after driving about 150 mils on holiday the air bag light came on again, told don't worry we will look at it when you return, on way back all came on again.

Dealer had car for 3 weeks and said it was fixed, ok until today when all came on and stayed on again.

Any one else had the problem

Time to get firm with the dealer, and write a letter stating whats happened so far,and asking what they are  going to do, to put things right. This is just storing up problems for the future, and the air bag light will be a MOT failure in years to come!

Also point out your not sure if the airbag system is safe,ie will activate in an accident.

Dare say its something simple but it needs sorting!

So keep the pressure up on the dealer, dont let them get away with it.

Good luck.

To me it sounds like all they are doing is scanning and clearing the fault codes, which means they will come back again eventually.

how old is the car, as a 1.9Tdi is not brand new

common issues on 3-5 year old cars are a battery failing giving all sorts of funny light combo's on the dash, also possibly a power steering light / loss of assistance first thing in morning

Got the car back after 10 days and involvement with skoda customer services.

Problem was a broken conductor in one wire of the main wiring loom.

Keeping our fingers crossed that this is the end of the problems
