Hi All,

 

I've had my Fabia Monte Carlo for a couple of months now and really enjoying it !

 

However, the standard 17in alloys are getting kerbed and look a bit tatty - therefore I would like to replace them with

standard black steel wheels.

 

Can anyone recommend a good All Season Tyre and the correct size of substitute for 205/40 R17's ?

On my se the recommended winter tyres are 165, 65, r14 i think.

However i think the monte has slightly bigger discs, so they wont fit on.

Maybe something on 16's? The elegance runs 16 inch alloys, so maybe a steel the same size would work?

Winter is a long way off but I wonder whether there would be any interest in a group buy of steel wheels and winter tyres some time later this year?

I have 15 inch steels on my Monte. They just fit so 14's would NOT fit, but 16's would obviously be ok.

 

I believe my 15's use 185/65 winter tyres. Just look at your fuel filler cap for wheel and tyre combo's.

If be tempted yeah. Obviously id be wantin a different size than you lot though aha
