First time trying Sonax BSD ...mmMMMMMM.!

Featured Replies

OK folks i know that Sonax seems to be the "must have" item at the minute for detailing ones car. Tried it today but IMO the paintwork does not end up as silky smooth (if you know what i mean) compared with the fell of the paintwork after waxing..or maybe it's just me.

I am keen on your experiment...thinking of buying it myself too.

Did u wash and clay car 1st?

This has been discussed before it's not as smooth of a finish as other QD's but it's hydrophobic content and protection qualitys are what everyone is buying it for.

I also don't think it leaves as much of a shine as a lot of other QD's but that's not the reason I bought it.

I don't really go feeling the car much after it's done, so the slickness doesn't bother me either.

I know it's an each to their own, but I love the product, it does just what I want it too and keep up to it and the car will look as fresh as the day you last cleaned it.

Its not really a QD....more a liquid sealant so it doesn't add any slickness ...just jaw dropping beadability/durability

Gosh there's so many sealers about, which ones would you rate.?

Gosh there's so many sealers about, which ones would you rate.?

Newbie alert! What's the difference between sealer and wax? Which is colly 845?

845 is a wax, and a very good one at that.

Gosh there's so many sealers about, which ones would you rate.?

Try jetseal 109 by chemical guys, I've used it and been quite happy with it.

It's cheap too

Oh good this is on order along with some Sonax BSD. What's the difference between wax and sealer. Should I use both or one or the other?

Yeah I need to know this too.  Only had a chance to turtle wax mine atm.. yeah i know it's old skool...
