Drivers Door a Different Shade

Featured Replies

EDIT; sorry its in your profile. I know 100% that an 18yr old can have a loan car. Brothers currently driving a rapid spaceback after having a similar issue. (Delivery damage) Think they might well be messing with you.

Not always, the dealers are all franchises and have their own local arrangements for courtesy cars and their insurance policies. Each dealer will be different and have different requirements for courtesy cars.

Go To Skoda UK and mention what the dealer said. The Chap i spoke to over my issues was really nice and helpful. Don't let the garage fob you off?

Yeah might do! They have booked it into the body shop two weeks tomorrow and they've managed to "sort" the courtesy car. Anyway I'm contacting Skoda customer services tomorrow to see what they have to say about it all!

And don't worry I won't let them fob me off. Every time I go in there they're always like "I'll speak with your dad" so I asked to speak to the owner today and told him how it's all been handled really badly and he has spoken to the staff so now they call me 'Mr Chalmers' aha :P but yeah he's apologised and said everything will be sorted for me!

good stuff :) glad the owner is being proactive on it - he knows the potential cost of Skoda getting bad press on one of their dealers....

Good news and good luck :)

Did you get the door sorted yet?.

Sorry for not keeping you guys updated, been away for a while! The car is currently in the body shop being reprinted!

What is being repainted, the door or the complete side.

Or have they left the door the way it was, and are painting all the rest of the Car to match.

The Skoda Warranty Way!

Make sure that the entire car will still be covered by the Skoda paint and corrosion warranties!

When I had the boot of my Octavia resprayed by Skoda under warranty, the panel and all of those that had any paint to blend were then only covered by the 2 year bodyshop warranty, not the remaining 8 years or so of the Skoda warranty
