2001 Fabia Elegance TDI

Featured Replies

Just putting abit of a feeler out, wanting to know what my Fabia is worth and can't get an accurate price. Cheapest on eBay is £1,500 with this spec.

Anyway!

2001 Fabia TDI Elegance spec

1.9 PD engine with 130,000 miles.

Heated seats

Front & Rear electric windows

Electric heated mirrors

Power steering

Central locking with two original keys

All the usual goodies really....

I've spent a small fortune on it to be honest, but I am known for being abit of a tart with my cars...

here's a list! Within the last 5,000 miles.

Two new front tyres, rears are also like new, A new exhaust backbox. I fitted new wiper blades. Not long had a full timing belt kit and water pump fitted. It had a full service at the same time, oil (pd oil!) oil filter, air filter, fuel filter and pollen filter. Not long had new discs and pads on the rear, fronts are also quite new. Typically the passenger side widow regulator failed so had a new one of them fitted. The common power steering fault cropped up so it got a new power steering pump, wiring loom, battery earth, powers steering hoses and the angle sensor on the rack so had the full lot!

Just put a new wheel bearing on the passenger side front also.

Starts first time, every time! Drives perfectly.

Now the downsides:

It's got over 130,000 so isn't a new car, it has some stone chips on the bonnet and the odd mark around the car. The airbag light is on the dash, hopefully have that fixed within a few days!

I think that's it actually!

7 month tax and test left on it.

£950, thats a bargain. Personally I would look at putting it for sale ~£1500

Mine went for £550 with 186k :)

Excellent :) thanks for the reply!

Service history?

Pm'd :)

What colour is it? Iv checked and its def not in the ad lol

  • Author

Sorry, wrote the ad late last night, will post pictures later.

It's silver.

I've got a service history folder with loads of paperwork and history but don't know off the top of my head when it's had previous services etc just the full service I done about 5,000 ago. Will do another oil and filter change when it goes.

If it's any help I sold my last Fabia Vrs to Soloman from the forum and all is still well.

I have a genuine reason for sale, I need a Vrs SE in my life! posted in the wanted section for one about three weeks ago and still keeping an eye out for one!

Sounds lovely. May i claim first dibs? Got a friend looking for a car but need to check with him if its what he wants first. Where are you located?

  • Author

_Jim has first dibs as such, depending on a viewing etc..

Thanks for the interest, should have said more than £950 I think haha

Any decent places to upload pictures?

I used to use imageshack but that's no good now.

Hi Hutchysrs50

Sold mine for just over a 1K (130K miles, PD100 Elegance 2001) over a year ago.  A month later I had family after it… silly me for selling it.

This fits the bill so am also interested.  Can you PM me location details as may swing by for a view if Robt100 passes on the vehicle.

Thanks :)

Just going over paperwork now to confirm everything.

The service book doesn't give much away, But I have over 60 receipts from things being spent on the car including service invoices every year and a lot of them from Skoda dealers. I also replaced both front ABS sensors.

It has mot until 17th of October 2014 so 7 month or so. Tax is until the 31 of April so end of next month, if I still have it I will put another six month on, or give a discount on the sale price as its shorter than I thought.

The currant mileage is 133,720.

The timing belt kit & water pump were changed at 132,775

The Full service (With invoices to prove oil was correct etc) was done at the same time at 132,775. so not much point in me changing it again but if the buyer will have more piece of mind I will change it regardless!

The MOT has three advisories although two of them are pointless!

1 - Engine covers fitted obscuring view

2 - under-trays fitted obscuring view

3 - Rear registration plate deteriorated, but not likely to be misread (look for yourself)

I've left the reg number on the pictures so you can HPI check if you wish, will remove pictures if the new owner wants me to.

Ive taken a close up picture of the worst scuff on the car being the drivers side rear beside the light, only other ding is on the passenger side front wing which ive also taken pictures of. the drivers wing mirror cover has a crack in but will glue back in place if your handy with a bit super glue!

I think i've coverd everything and been honest as I can, more pictures can be taken if you want to see anything.

Located in Newcastle Postcode NE5

Has front and rear fog lights and genuine skoda rubber floor mats

any questions just ask!

_jims sister isn't interested in the Fabia so it's still for sale.

To avoide time wasters etc I'm not taking dibs etc.

First come first serve!

If you want to view, test drive, inspect and what not pm me, thanks
