dismantling of wastgate actuator

That's a clever idea  for the fast idle test

My brake switch was kaput, you more or less had to press it fully to illuinate the brake lights, so if i gave it the beans then slowed down for the corner after the corner i had no boost :( i assume this was because the car suddenly lost lots of speed but the car didnt detect and braking input

you can use a login code on vcds to switch off the brake pedal power cut off so you can do the old left foot shuffle, cant remember it off hand though, would need to look it up, i seem to remember there are other functions similar to the cut off where if you press the brake and accelerator at the same time when the car isnt moving it only revs to 2500rpm, this is to make holding it at the specified speed for the emissions test easier

They sound like useful features. Is there anywhere with a list of login codes for such tweaks? I don't remember seeing them on the Ross-Tech site.

Erm not sure actually, some of them are software version/ecu type dependant, the info on specific login codes is very sparse sadly, it was a vw master tech that told me about it, I'll phone him up tomorrow and ask him the code, but the 2500rpm limit for brake+accelerator is a standard feature that does not need switching on.

I tried the brake + throttle = 2500rpm limiter earlier today (while stationary with the handbrake on, for the H&S fanatics) and it didn't work. Oh well. Life continues!

strange.. my a3 does it   so does my lupo.. maybe your remap overwrote that piece of software code?

did you go for the foot slowly down on the throttle aproach? Or did you bounce off the limiter? Haha! :)

No idea on the map. It's a standard Leon Cupra map on my ECU at the moment, but it's been fiddled with before and there's so many layers of code that it might have been wiped previously.

There was no town centre traffic lights rev limiter abuse at all. :)

haha.. council estate touring cars championship

that reminds me of a problem i had with the throttle body on mine where it losts its adaption values because i unplugged the throttle body while the ignition was switched on, the damned thing would rev from 1000 rpm upto 1800rpm and back again constantly every few seconds whenever at idle... lesson well learnt 100 miles away from home.. made everybody think i was after a race

Haha yeah my neighbours don't appreciate me starting my car up to warm her up before heading off to work at 7am! Quite loud! :)
