VRS Estate Boot Line

Featured Replies

Guy,

With my VRS estate being delivered tomorrow and keen to get a boot liner as the boot will be home to my golf gear most of the time.

Anyone suggest any?

I bought one off ebay for the 2010 VRS and it was ok but not a great fit.

Cheers

Do you mean a mat, or one of the ones that comes all the way up the sides?

So do I. Damn isn't it heavy!!

That it is, its very good though.  When it's dirty just take it out and jet wash it, comes up like new. :)

The one I had in my Civic was a fraction of the weight and lasted 7 years without any signs of wear tho.

I get mine from www.roofbox.co.uk . They usually have two or three options for each car.

Not got one myself yet as still waiting for the car <yawn> but I've been looking on http://www.titancovers.co.uk they seem pretty reasonable.

Try hatchbag.co.uk too. Had 5 between both out cars and never a problem with any of them.

I had come similar to the one below that I got off ebay...so this one off www.roofbox.co.uk looks good for the money

Looks like a lot of these options won't work with the Canton system as the subwoofer is in the way. Anyone with Canton know whether the sub as able to lift up a bit to fit a mat undernearth and/or how much the wiring will get in the way of some of the full boot liners?

Nope, the sub goes down a bit further than the floor I think.

Not sure what you're looking for but the hatchbag ones do cater for the canton system, with or with the variable boot floor.

I'll just point out that none of the ones with the lip will work with the boot nets. That was important to me, and why I ended up getting the same one as Neily03.

I have the Skoda rubber floor mat and the lip on that isn't so tall it interferes with the netting hooks and eyes. My liner is a Rhino one, and it's OK - hardwearing and durable -  though I dislike the Velcro stiprs provided to "stick" the sides of the liner to the car's carpet as it tends to roughen the carpet. Am considering putting eyelets into the liner and using hooks and rubber bands to hang the liner sides from the "curry hooks" and the headrest pillars. That should mean I can ditch the Velcro.

I just cut a small hole in the liner I had in my 2010 VRS so the eyelets could be used not that I ever did use the nets in the 3 years I had the car

If your concerned about the Canton Sub, Skoda do a rubber mat that is about £60. It's not that heavy but seems very hard wearing. It is straight so does not curve out into the recesses at the side. This should mean it won't interfere with the sub. I will take a picture of mine when I get the car back from Skoda later.

I've posted the Skoda one at the top as its the one I have.

I have this one - http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-Combi-rear-trunk-cargo-mat-original-Skoda-Autoas-product

Fits perfectly and does the job, stops things slidin around too.

I looked at most of the boot liner options, ie Titan, Rhino, Roofbox, Custom Covers etc, but ended up ordering it from Bootbuddy:

IMHO, it makes the others look rather cheap. Mind you, in comparison, they are.

apologies for what might be a stupid question - would this also fit in a Skoda 1.4 SE estate?

Yes, it's OEM for the Octavia Estate.
