Don't I look like a forlorn figure standing there...? There were other people around, honest! :D

Bit late - but great day out at all venues and the convoy between them - I was in the yellow Liz up front.

Hope the brekky at the Huntsmans was ok - didnt see any reappear.

Gossy - sorry held u up on the last bit of Pembrey rally stage -but Lizes are too good on that stuff and I didnt want 50p wheels like Si

I'm amazed the convoy didnt get broken up through the towns with lights etc.

Really thought Plod was going to pull us - was ready to leap out and remove the RPM thing over my plate.

Great day and it was good to meet you guys.

Steve

Yellow Liz leading the RS and Scoob posse - Silver RS safely at home.

Steve, didn't know your name or handle on the day but thanks for leading the way and I'm sure grateful thanks from many members for the loan of the footpump!!

See you next time.

Huntsman brekky was good, settled very well, I didn't really need to eat until 1pm ish, and then I lasted all the way back to Devon where I demolished a McD's at about 9pm... :D

Thanks for the convoy services - really helped with me when I got those RPM directions a bit muddled up.

No worries guys -trust you'll do the same when I'm not on familiar turf.

Nick -where in Swindon r u cos I used to live in Old town and parents still live in Lydiard Millicent.

Steve

Firstly:

Thanks to Q for a great bit of co-driving, shame about the driver. ;).

Thanks to steve for a fantastic bit of recon work.

Thanks to John for the wifes (Dawn) pressies, she was chuffed to bits with the model.

Congrats to Paul & Ian on winning Best Driver & Co-driver @ Chepstow.

The biggest thanks to all Briskodians at the Huntsman/track events for an entertaining weekend, your company made the event for me.

Unfortunately this may be the last RPM tour in a Skoda for me.

Many Thanks Des

Finally some time to reflect back on the weekend.

First a big thank you to Des for making this all possible:

Thank you Des!!!

I think most of it has already been revealed by others so I'll just say that the highlights of the trip were our petrol 'cruise' on Saturday evening, the navigating at Caerwent (and subsequent smoking tyres at the finish), the Llandow chicane and lastly the Pembry circuit which provided the real deal racing experience.

Unfortunately this may be the last RPM tour in a Skoda for me.

Des! Don't tell me you are swapping the skud and keeping the badge?

When I got home , I thought who was that nice chap in the Lotus Elise that we followed all day , so I looked at the entry list ................no it still didn't mean anything to me , but I did wonder what had happened to RSOct22 as I was sure that he said he was entering ..................now all is revealed :D

Thanks Steve for showing us the way !

Steve,

Great to see you and your car performing at the event and thanks for organising accommadation and the welcom on arrival at the Huntsman, As you are probably aware live very close to Swindon, (South Cerney) and work there, know Lydiard Millicent well especially the speed humps

I have some pictures of your car and others and will post soon - however not much time at moment - as about to go on hols so probably will be in a weeks time.

John

Paul, too late on the head :D

spose it was inevitable... you have been getting head from Des for years.....:(

Quick give me a list of his mods...........

selling your Miltek dp and sports cat Des?

Back online late, but quick thanks to all, great company and banter.

Good to put faces to names etc, Q, Nick, Jason, Steve..

Special thanks to Paul for not throwing us through any tyre walls etc, and choosing some "interesting" but undoubtedly quick lines!

Some nice pics there Nick!

Actually Wootton Bassett, still separated from Swindon by a green buffer zone, just! My house backs onto the St. Ivel dairy grounds, which has just closed. They're about to build new houses right up to my back garden fence - humph! :(

Guys, guys

My RS will not be sold of in bits i'm afraid and as it's running so well at the mo (as gossy found out) I will only sell it when i've found a good S4, at the moment that dosen't look very likely.

Des

no such thing... Des 4x4 is devil spawn.... stick with the vRS

Nick - went to School in Bassett........... a few years ago and have friends in Woodshaw - small world!

John - would love to see any piccies of the Liz u have when you're back from hols

Des - Dooooooooonnnnnnnntttttttttttttt dooooooooo ittttttttttttt

Cheers all

Steve

They have built a new school now, Steve - it has its own website 'n all :D (or it did have - can't find it at present). I live right opposite Noremarsh Junior School - did you go there too?

Nick

- nope, Lydiard Millicent school. May give you a knock if thats ok when next in Bassett -presumably I'll recognise one of your cars on the drive. Possibly down on the 20th for a friends party (Skew bridges close i think)
