Compensation awarded for no cornering lights fitted on VRS

Featured Replies

I can't recall ever being blinded or dazzled by front fogs under any conditions. The beam pattern and location of the lights is done for a reason - to prevent dazzle whilst driving in fog by providing a low flat spread of light that enables you to see the sides of the road etc., and not reflect back off of the fog and dazzle the driver. Hence why they are used as cornering lights for low speed manoeuvres to light up obstacles low down and close to you.

Sent from my phone so please excuse brevity and spelling

I have definitely been dazzled by plenty of morons with full fogs on, at different times of the day.

  • How can more light be any less than useful when make tight manoeuvres in dark car parks etc?

  • Don't be daft. Nobody here has claimed that they can't park without them. What several of us have said is that when you are parking they can sometimes be handy.

  • Had them coded by a member on here with VCDS.

I don't know how I've ever managed to park all these years without cornering lights. Oh...

Simple, please excuse that i need to go to Specsavers.

Should have read,

'You must never be where a car is reversing and turning the steering wheel and one Fog is coming on and off'.

As shown in the Yeti Picture,

He took about 4 single Fog on to the left and to the right to get reversed onto the pavement..

Tesco every day, i see the Ladies in their VW Polos, and RR Evoques take many attempts.

Dispaying the proper Cornering Lights or cornering DRLs, that go on and off with the steering angle

or the Poverty version Fogs some have that manufacturers used as dual Auxiliary Lights/Fogs.

T-W-A-T lights shining, 'this way and that'.

Come back grammar all is forgiven!

But as Neil said earlier, eh?!

Especially useful down here as we are so kind to our friends north of the border that we adjust our daylight hours to suit them eh sco3ott?

LOL.

In the south when the clock changes forward or back by an hour,

do you then have extra hours between Dusk & Dawn.?

Or does it just remain lighting up time for exactly the same period of time?
