Surprising S2000 facts

Featured Replies

You read so many articles about bad chassis/tricky handling etc. The bottom line is if you drive beyond the conditions, or more appropriately, your own ability, you're asking for trouble.

Don't drive like a d1ck, don't crash. Never driven an S2000, but the MR2 was a decent handling car, as long as you drove it accordingly.

It's a shame there are so few RWD cars about these days as the majority of drivers have never learned to drive anything other than Front-Engined, FWD motors. RWD cars are a completely different animal at speeds and in poor conditions, I don't believe there's a problem with the chassis on any of them TBH.

Met one of these near some traffic lights. They were green and I was doing about 40 but he was just pulling off. I got in front before it went down to one lane. When it opened up to two again I pulled out to go round a lorry and he followed. Think he wasnt best pleased as when I pulled over i front he gunned it and left me for dead. Was very impressed with the speed of this car. I hadnt long had my fabia vrs and was driving it like I stole it.

Please note this is not a my vrs beat a blah blah blah post. Just wanted to point out how quick and impressive these s2000's can be. It really did blow me away to see somone actually put there foot down in one. Same feeling as the porsche the other day that wellied it off the roundabout. Nice to see someone actually making use of one for a change.

I tried that with a Hyabusa one day, not sure he even knew I was there as he rocketed off toward the horizon

Now that is a bargain :D

"Since completion it has done 3 trackdays & some sprints"

I suspect it is now. Probably the hardest 200 miles of its life since the conversion was done!!!
