How could i fit a tow strap to a mk1 octavia?

 

Heard about adapter kits but not quite sure what they do?

How could i fit a tow strap to a mk1 octavia?

Most Tow Straps are just a hole so you need a joiner which is a u shape Karabiner with a threaded bolt it it so you can hook around the OEM towing eye and then connect the Tow strap up.

 

I have a Tow strap but never fitted as hate the fact the the strap will be quite long with the extra Karabiner attachment.

I did think in cutting out a part of the oem tow eye , fit strap and weld back up but could not be arsed as what is the point just to have a tow strap.

 

Plus unless i cut out my Miltoec bumper vents if i ever needed to use the tow strap it would rip off the grill.
