110TDi - power problems (continued)

Featured Replies

Right then... visited the local Skoda place on Saturday.

Fault: intermittent lack of power (once hitting about 3200rpm, especially under load).

They initially suggested the MAF, until I reminded them they had replaced it a few months earlier to cure the same problem. They ran a full diagnostics, and did not really come up with anything, so they suggested changing the (n75 valve?) - some white topped valve on the passenger side of the bulkhead, but typically they had no stock. They want to sell this to me for

i think the N75 would probably throw up an error?

i would buy it and change it yourself, its easy to unplug and swap over :)

I used to have a problem like this with my old lancia thema turbo..... it turned out, after alot of searching, that one of the hoses comming from the intercooler was cracked! impossible to see unless you bent the pipe, but was letting boost pressure out under load..... a new pipe for

Could well be the N75, if it isnt I suspect a sticking turbo.

Both however should throw up an overboost fault.

And just because they changed an air mass meter a few months back doesnt mean it isnt faulty again, they really are that reliable. But if they fitted the part they should have 12 months parts warranty on it anyhow.
