I really don't need one either but it is bloody tempting. Even considered buying one or two for onmove on the bay. :D

Damn Stu - spreading it around more so Dell realise even quicker... ;) :P

Yep, I ordered one about 40 minutes ago... Can't grumble if I get it at that price. Will be like a fairly pricey 17" flat screen for my current PC, with a free whole computer!

My current screen is a 19" Panel so I wouldn't gain - but it is a good opportunity.

A new 17" panel is gonna cost you best part of that much and you'd still get best part of

Stu. Never in my life travelling the interesting interweb have I encountered anyone with anywhere near your ability to find bargains. Truly astounding!

Ordered, ta  I've been looking for a cheap e-mail / DNS / file server

im just gonna use it as a little fileserver for movies etc for my xbox network, and so that my Mac (for music) can become even more dedicated...

I can't really take the credit it's a blatant repost but I do like to pass on some that I really think are worthwhile.

It's all about reading the right forums :P ;)

Looks like I missed out. "Link broken".

How do you find this stuff? It's amazing.

Do I sense a rush on Ebay for various people and LCDs and base units?

TKW - wanna go share? Your LCD and my base unit would be a complete new Dell 3000 package.... ;)

Link shouldnt be broken - its just to dell.co.uk

I think you should all stagger your eBay auctions so as not to flood the market ;)

Their server must be red hot!!

Be interesting to see if they back out of the deal - make sure you keep those emails and if anyone took a screenshot or has it cached it'd be worth keeping. :D

Hmmm. This was with my order confirmation

I don't like that last bit! :(

I don't read it myself.

Balls.

I got down to "add to basket" and it said it wasn't valid...

Grrr!

Well, i missed out this time, but if anybody notices a really cheap laptop, I'd like one.

No, the code no longer seems to work. Seems like I got in just in time

I think they're gonna cancel all the orders placed in last 2 hours on it now. All well and good them having a clause in to protect themselves, but if I have ordered something at a certain price dictated to me all the way through, it should be honoured....

Just my highly biased opinion of course. ;)
