  • If you do need to bond it in, use sikaflex. It's a trade bonder and sticks everything.

Possibly to stop people fitting aftermarket grilles ? ! ? !

They do a couple of sizes.

Eeeek!… sorry, personal opinion, but they look really nasty.

Since the birth of vinyl wrapping and hydrographics there seems to be a constant stream of people covering just about everything except a dog turd in 'carbon fibre effect' and then selling it on eBay, and it's all starting to get a bit tacky (again for the benefit of the verbal hit squad on this forum, just my personal opinion).

Nah, thats pretty much spot on.

Imagine that on the front of your car. No, just no.

I wasn't recommending buying. Just stating they are the closest to black I've seen.

  • 1 month later...

After ordering it back in march before my car actually arrived the honeycomb grill from superskoda has finally arrived.

Only problem is the standard grill has grown on me now.

Should i go through the hassle of fitting it???

Hi Muddymotox

If you were deciding on changing the grille, I would happily buy your old one.

Hit a deer on the road the other night - ran clean out of nowhere and straight into the two front grilles. Weirdly no damage on the bumper but Skoda are ripping me off for a whole bumper for the top grille which simply isn't right!

Let me know what you think.

Thanks mate - Steven

Nope i haven't bothered installing it. Seems too much of an effort as im swapping the car in 18 months anyway.

Look on the bright side - its saved you hours of your time by not installing it. I've just come indoors after spending an age washing my Elegance estate. After 30 minutes plying the bottle brush through the honeycomb apertures on the lower grille I began to wonder - who was it exactly who designed this? Surely not the same person who has to clean it every week.
