Cream carpets.

Featured Replies

Ok so ive had my mk 1 vrs for about 6 months now I want to give the carpet a good clean can anyone advice me on the best way to do it cheers.

Rent a rug doctor from Tescos and remove the seats so you can access all of the carpet and clean!

Or replace with a black carpet :)

Agreed, fitting a black carpet from a Golf/Bora etc is the best solution. When I had a VRS a Rug Doctor worked great on the seats, but wasn't so good on the carpets.

the seats can be cleaned up ice with just a spray bottle of cleaning solution and some scrubbing.. but the carpets are tuff, ive got sparkling seats I mine but my carpets are pretty disgusting tbh..

Plenty of golfs breaking on ebay. Just find one local to you and price up a carpet :) any mk4 golf will do doesnt have to be a GTI or anything.

Black golf carpet and seat covers FTW

Ebay: 171174143490. Just ensure you ask for the faux leather one and not cloth!!

Nice 1 I can see myself spending a fortune getting my car to how I want it to be

That arm rest looks good for the money, the mount looks like it fits oem, does it all fit well and look right?

Cheers

Yeah fine .

I've admitted defeat. Went to the scrap yard on Sunday and got a black carpet out of a mk4 golf.

Im going to try and locate one the weekend just not looking forward to talking them out and fitting the new 1 as I've heard its abit of a ******* job but worth it in the end

No its not buddy very straight forward. It didn't take me long to get the black one out. It needs a good clean up first before it goes in though.

Two hour job

I just picked up a mint one off Zowow when I bought a set of S3 seats, hadn't planned on doing it but gotta bargain and after seeing pics of it done it will be well worth it as it will surely be easier than getting black current juice and stuck on raisins out of the cream carpet...

Gonna tie it in with dynamatting the chassis and running my amp/speaker cables.

How much did the scrap yard charge you meaty

My 2c but I'd rather have a slightly dirty white carpet over a black one any day, just another thing that sets the car apart.

If the vRS was supposed to be a dull black on black with accents of black car then why not just get a Golf? :P

Because the octavia has a bigger boot and is cheaper to buy.

And much better looking than a golf

After reading this thread, and having just fitted my S3 seats, I have emailed a seller breaking a mk4 golf on eBay and I am picking up a good condition black carpet in the morning for only £15

15 pound can't grumble at that
