Its my 30th birthday so treated myself to something i'd wanted for a while. Absolute bargain too. ex police car. interior and bodywork needs a little tlc, nothing major just a tidy up. chassis and engine is solid! Pulls well and i'm loving it.

In need of a dump valve though so i'd like input and reccomendations from fellow owners please.

I honestly have no idea!

I work 3-4 mins from JBS so I have all intentions on taking it there to be mapped anyway and given the once over.

try shark performance you will not be dissapointed, not heard many people ravin about jbs tbh

The Forge 007 dump valve is what you won't if going with something different and want noise but the standard valve is good up to stage two as long as it's in good health. Welcome to briskoda.

The police did not map the VRS.

The forge 0007 won't give any more noise over std tbh as these are still recirc valves. It is fitting a cai or open filter that gives the increased noise.

If you want dump noise get a filter or CAI. If the DV is goosed just fit a new oem part.

CAI and open filter do you mean the k&n cone air filter type? 

So had a scare this morning! On the way to work, Engine light comes on, car starts to stutter/hold back. Had a look couldn't see anything. Took it to JBS (round corner from my work luckily) plugged it in....just a loose connection causing misfire cylinder 3. Phew.

 

Now onto my major gripe with this car the front bumper

 

 

No idea with this. Before I remove the bumper does anyone know if there is a clip behind there that could be missing?

 

 

TBH I think i'll just try and find a bumper in the same colour and replace. Really annoys me stuff like this.

Hmm, under the black trim, there is two bolts, try tightening them up first. It might just be me, but it might have had a push on that corner. Might need pulling out. Just saying because I had a light knock and my bumper looked like that. had to pull it out. Wasn't too hard.

Just had a look and I think you're right. The wing needs pulling out. Cheers for that.

Bumper looks fine TBH, just get a smart repair. Trying to get hold of a good vRS bumper is bloody hard! Then you would need a full respray.

It has been 3 days and I have a healthy shopping list already. First job is to get the bits of bodywork and interior sorted. Will start a project thread when I do my first clean and detail on it.

 

The drive back from work was a lot more fun in the VRS. Very happy.

Boys and girls, I have the lower front grille for our young friend. What is considered a fair price. In perfect knick.

Brand new un-painted from a company in worksop was £40 when I called today to give you an idea.
