On my quest to find a used Superb Elegance i keep finding cars that come with the wood trim option which i personally don't like. Now what i want to know is how easy an option would it be, if i found the right car in every other aspect, to remove the wood trim and replace it with a set of the silver trim?

 

So is it an easy enough job to do??? And can the silver trim be purchased and if so how much does it cost??

Possibly but i do like the metal effect trim that came as standard so would prefer that rather than wood or wrapped black etc...

Another option i've just thought of...... If i buy the car from a Skoda dealer i could maybe ask them to switch the trim from the wood effect to the standard metal effect as part of the deal???

The dash trims are removable but the trim in the door cards aren't.

The dashboard trim comes in 3 parts (left hand side, then either side of steering console) - these are easily removable but apparently the trim on the door cards doesn't come off (easily) so you would have to replace the entire door card assembly. This I suspect would be cost prohibitive.

Honestly, get it wrapped. I went from wood to brushed aluminium and you can't tell. Cheaper quicker and much easier than replacing with exactly the same result

As stated, the door cards are a problem. But with all the "we wrap your car"-companies springing up everywhere these days, it should be possible to find a local lad who can wrap the door card trims in whatever you want. 

 

I would suggest getting them all wrapped though, replacing the wood ones with others, then wrapping the door card ones might lead to colour differences...
