Ok so was going to buy dizzy cap and arm for the pick up, however when looking it says veriant 1 veriant 2.

How will I know which one?

There are 2 types of distributor fitted to the vw engines, magnetti marelli ones have a black dizzy cap, the Bosch one has an orange dizzy cap, I've never seen a magnetti marelli distributor fitted in on a vw engine in a skoda!

Also the cap and rotor arm are a matched pair too so alas there are also 2 types of rotor arm.

Yes you must have a Bosch distributor then. Most motor parts places should be able to identify it from the cap colour alone.

it's always confusing on these cars because it has a magnetti-marelli ecu but has a Bosch dizzy.

All 4 off my aee's use a bosch (orange) but got a replacement one from gsf thats black but works.....

It's a Skoda Fun Pickup Truck, only 1 engine ever fitted in the UK: the AEE.
