Hi I have a 2008 mk2 octy 1.9tdi 105 but the engine is tired and I Have the opportunity to buy 2007 mk1 1.9tdi 105 bhp to use as a donor and I was wondering would this engine be the same or will these engines have different codes

I think you have got your wires crossed somewhere.

 

The 1.9 105 was never fitted to the MK1 Octavia only the MK2 Octavia and Fabia/Roomster.

Wasn't it fitted in the taxi spec mkI Tour which was sold after the mkI was replaced by the mkII?

The mk1 octy ran was made until 2008 i think but only in taxi spec. I think the 105bhp was used in this car

Ive seen a few mk1's post '05 listed 105 engines - are they ex taxis? i dunno, never checked...

I knew they made the MK1 well after the MK2 for Taxis but didn't know they used the PD105 in them.
