Bluetooth + Co-pilot

Featured Replies

Found that with Bolero connected with phone using Bluetooth.I get no phone sound when using my co-pilot. Phone is an LG Nexus 5.

Anyone got any ideas.

Co pilot is good but has some funny ways,...for example I can only get the sat nav sound to come through the Bolero if I'm playing music though my iPhone and connected up via bluetooth to the car, if I use the radio, I get no audible sat nav guidance.

I would also make sure that you have the nexus volume  turned up max,........

What's Co pilot? Am I missing something?

Co-pilot is sat nav software for smartphones.

But yes, you won't get voice guidance over bluetooth unless you are listening to bluetooth as a source.  There's only a limited number of programs that can use the phone protocol to interrupt the radio to give voice guidance.   Apple Maps on the iphone has this facility for instance.  Not sure what others.

Co pilot is a satellite navigation app for Android & iOS smartphones.

It's ok,I've had a few issues with it, such as no voice guidance at all and mapping errors. I've tried Sygic too it's not much better.

I still prefer to use my Garmin, as its got lifetime map updates and even a new one costs less than a quarter of the Columbus.

Guess I will just not switch my phone Bluetooth on for the rare times I use my phone sat nav.Don't receive or make many calls anyway.

i know than it's my first message, but i'm responding to your question, don't be too harsh with me  .

It's easy to stream the phone audio to your bluetooth system (this solution works for all the bt systems). Install btmono, it stream your phone audio to your radio system (obviously in mono, but it's not a problem, you will listen like it was a call).

if you own an android you will found the app in the playstore, there is a free version and a premium than include the auto connect widget (if you need it).
if you own an iOS device (iPhone,iPad,iPod Touch) you need to jailbreak it to install via Cydia btmono.

How it works: it start a fake call from your phone and the bt system start to "stream" your audio, if someone call you, you can answer from your steering wheel controls like always.
