Oh yes - he mentioned he knew of you when we last spoke infact.

I heard some of the Civinfo stories.... he still Sponsors on Civinfo i think.

I didnt say he hosted it; i only said he got me the invitation to join.

Its obviously very secretive, so I wont bother yopu with questions anymore

Thanks

Hoping this comes off Ste as it would benefit a lot of people i feel.

I am pretty sure too if this went onto the 'Group Buys and Promotions' section then there would be even more interest.

Thanks for taking the time to try and get this running, it is very much apprecaited my myself.

Really appreciate the comment and support Ben - as i'm awaiting Admin approval;

hence i have refrained from opening up a can of worms by posting in the GB section.

I posted the "feeler" here where i noticed a few had shown interest in investigating alternative pads.

Confused.com Steve

Why have you had no reply re: opening a group buy?

You have at least 10 interested people

Surely its just a formality....Isnt it?

I read this

I presume youve sent off another enquiry to the Mods?

Hello Chris - yes, i read the GB instructions too... so to help remove the confusion on where i am at with this....

"Non BRISKODA Staff organised buys:

If anyone wants to organise a buy then that person MUST contact a member of staff first to seek clearance to organise one. Once the above has been done and the GB has been OK'd.... "

So i have PM's the Admin team and had my PM acknowledged in a prompt fashion.

I have been requested to hold fire and await the Admin/Mod team to review in the Backroom.

So now you know as much as me... i await the outcome of this discussion.

Many thanks for the support in the detailing section and both ChrisRs and Sparkly as current Sponsors.

It looks like everyone wants this to proceed; and that's great to see - but i still do not have Admin acceptance.

Thanks for the clarification

I would probably be interested in these. Only had my das6 since July and only used it a couple of times so these would probably last me years but sounds like too much of a bargain to pass up.

Thanks for the comment and interest.

If you are included in the current list - then we have 10 kits spoken for.

I would have loved to be able to help out in getting your gb amount going ste, but the last lot I bought from you I haven't even touched yet.

Hope it goes well.

Thanks Carl. Not a problem my friend. As per out last chat..... the initial trial phase went well.

I have used a set over the Spring and Summer and only just got one of the pads at the point

where i'll bin it.... not bad for £2 approx.

I have samples of some newer types in hand - and i think the guys will like the new kit.

As stated from the outset - i would not recommend these if i didn't use them myself.

I'll post up later on the proposed kit and some further detail to help everyone decide.

Sounds good ste and at that price it's a steal!

Thanks for that...Not just me then

Some of those replies are classic DW though..LOL

Flippin eck, that's a real bargain. Hope the Admin/Mods people pull their finger out & give you the green light.

Confused again. Sorry

These arnt Diamond Face type ...have I missed you ditching that type in favour of these?

You must be very dizzy today ChrisrS you've been confused a lot, lol

I know its probably a special question but I was looking at getting a 5" backing plate, as these are 6" would I need another backing plate?

Standard backing plate tends to be 6" doesn't it?

I was going for a 5 as I was planning on getting the glass polishing pads from cyc which are 5" and 3"

5" pads would fit better, but 6" will too..just IME
