What Are These Cable Clips?

Featured Replies

Hi All!

I have recently had trouble with my fabia's blower motor (causing heavy vibration). I have checked it for leaves and it was all clear so I think the motor is worn out.

I have now removed the motor to replace it, however on the motor unit there are these strange cable tie clips that I have not seen before (they secure the wiring loom on to the motor). I have cut the cable ties off of the clips so that I can remove the motor unit but cant get these clips off of the motor unit, they spin freely but wont pull off.

The clips are used all along the wiring loom to secure it in place. They are circular and with a square base and clip on to circular poles. I cant find any replacements on ebay etc and cant get the original ones off of the motor unit!

Does anyone know what these clips are called? or their part number?

In this diagram the clips are labelled 1 and 3.

I had leaves in mine not too long ago...... I just cut them off then used a little tape to hold the wiring back on as I couldn't find anything to do the job

For anyone else looking for these, TMB's answer was correct. They are called "Tie Wraps" and are available from the dealers (part number 3D0971838A as in picture above). They cost £1 each from the dealers.

Skoda have changed the design slightly as the original ones are not removable without damaging them, the new ones are.

Thanks!
