Generally how long is the period between a car being built and the dealer ringing to ask you to come and collect your new toy?

Depends if it's a vRS it seems..

2-3 weeks? Depends on shipping and transportation from docks to dealer.....

Mine was built at the start of last week, was at Emden by the end of the week.....could still be there or at Grinsby or sheerness...or on a ship...who knows?!

2 weeks is probably the quickest you'll get - that's assuming a Monday build and gets straight on a boat.

 

Mine was built Wk20; getting it next week so 4 or 5 weeks but it seems vRS models are getting through quicker - probably due to them trying to appease the long lead times.

I got told 11 weeks on an O3 Elegance with some options by 2 separate dealers. The dealership I used called me after 2 weeks to provide the advised build week so it's looking pretty likely at 11weeks.

I was bw20 and collected last Saturday, Fewie was bw20 and collected a week earlier.  His was pretty quick, I think mine at just under 4 weeks from start of bw, was about normal.

Got the phone call yesterday to say my Elegance had been built (right on schedule) and it was already in Germany waiting to catch the boat this weekend. Should be with me by the end of the month, hopefully. Getting quite excited.
